I had checked key commands before to see if there was an assignment for External Sync and the only one enabled for it was the default "Y" key. But I found that C#3 WAS assigned to Tap Tempo. So I disabled that, and all is good now. Thanks for your suggestion! Hendrik, thanks for clearing up my misunderstanding on sidechain for the EXS. I don't understand why the EXS would include a sidechain function if it isn't possible to use it.. other Logic plugs which don't have sidechain capability have no option to even select a sidechain mode, so I thought that since EXS does, it must be possible to use it to run audio through to possibly trigger the loaded sample. But I guess not. I was trying to shortcut the old Audio-to-Score method. Cheers. jb
