You already have EXS, and VSL comes in either Giga or EXS format. EXS 
and Giga both work really well, but you already have a G5 and EXS, 
and they'll go to waste if you don't use all the power.

Yes, but the question is how many articulations you can have loaded 
up and ready to play. It's not that you use every articulation in 
your template in every piece, it's that you want lots of them ready 
so you can find the right one for the phrase/notes you're going to 
play. There's nothing more annoying than having to stop all the time 
to load samples.

One G5 still isn't enough, but it's workable. Unfortunately, it's 
expensive to buy VSL for the second platform (Mac or PC), but ideally 
that's what you'd do: run it on EXS and then add cheap Giga PCs for 
expansion.

4GB seems to be what most people are using with EXS/VSL.

Great as it is, Reason won't work for VSL. Different kind of animal. 
EXS works very well and is *only* integrated with your set-up - 
nothing else.
