It s got to be possible, because the world wind library got some separate samples. Wouldn t be possible to block the air flow with fabric ? I did a similar thing on a guitar few years ago to be able to record some off the wall harmonics without getting the other strings rersonance kicking in. Took some time to properly postion the damper without affecting the playing, but the end result was flawless. Off course, in this case, I know little about the bagpipes, but I would have to imagine that there is a different pipe for all the different sound, no ? If so, disabling all but one (muting, damping, whatever you want to name it) will let you do some solo recording.
