Hi, Just ran a few tests with various configurations. I unplugged some memory chips from my G5 and The Old Lady loaded and played fine with as little as 1 GB of RAM (OSX 10.3). I didn't try 500 MB though. So memory requirement is as stated on the webpages: 1 GB. The other issue: real-time pedalling means you can move the pedal up and down while you play and that the sound crossfades between pedal up and pedal sound in real time. This is done by layereing the two samples (one for up and one for down state of the pedal) and let the pedal control the volume of the layers. Since this methods uses 2 samples for each key (and one for the release sample) you would end up playing 3 samples for each key, limiting your polyphony to max. 31 notes. I did not program this feature in the EXS24 version because of this polyphony issue and the fact that no smooth crossfade can be made between the two layers. Switching the pedal results in a brutal change of sound. No doubt somebody can come up with a smooth crossfade environment but I was not able to set this up in EXS24. In the EXTRA instruments files folder you can find some programs that behave this way, but the result is not 100%. Naturally the normal on/off behaviour of standard piano samples is supported in all our libraries; when you press the sustain pedal you will trigger sustain pedal down samples. When the pedal is up you trigger the pedal up samples.
