HI Steve; One posting to answer your three recent questions;-) 1. "ECO" stands for economical, and is a lower "quality" sample file to reduce byte space and load time. 2. By definition JI intervals are always integer ratios; e.g. 3/2; 4/3; 5/3; 5/4; etc. The aim of JI is to minimise "beating"; (if that can considered to be a reasonable intention is another question). Another downside is that using JI the interval sizes vary depending upon the supposed positions of the interval in the scale. Using EXS you can change the portamento rate using the "Glide" control which determines the time it takes for the pitch to slide from one note to another. see page 545 of Logic Pro 7 plug-in reference manual for details of "remote, Glide, and pitcher" parameters.
