Hello Lenny:

You are looking for "capture last take".  In OS9, I believe it is the 
following two keys pressed at the same time:  "control" and "*".  That 
should do it.  If not try:  "apple" and "*" (this is the Logic 7.1 
version of capture last take).

I use this all the time...I almost never record midi (or audio 
instruments) anymore...I just loop Logic and play.  When I play 
something I like I simply capture last take.  It's a great tool.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
