No, Emagic chose to make the EXS sample-finding scheme extremely annoyingly 
simple. Actually, it sort of forces you to be disciplined, since having 
multiple copies of the same sound isn't that good.

You could use the Project Manager (free) to bail you out here, but it's 
slow and may not enable you to do the things you want. You'd probably find 
Redmatica's EXS Manager helpful www.redmatica.com

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
