Request for tip:-)

2002-02-12 by Neil Goldstein

I have a nice audio sample CD with drumkits which I've converted to aif. I
was hoping I could map several kicks, snares etc to a massive kit. It
appears the simplest way to do this is to move all the sounds into one
folder and map them all chromatically using that option in the Multisample
open setting in the Group menu. Is there a way to do this with more finesse,
but without too much more labor?

What is the way to name or save the files so they are automatically mapped
to the keynote of choice if I wanted to use the Drumset option in that
Multisample dialog? I'm using Peak for my audio editor. What is the way to
have a region correspond to a user specified keynote?

Any other tips for laying out drums, where you want one sound per keynote?

Thanks

  That's a good idea.
