What's this all about? I've never viewed mp3s with such scrutiny. I've
always thought of them as far better than tape, but not nearly as good as a
CD. I take them with a grain of salt. They sound great on the iPod in
headphones, but I don't use that for my main stereo speakers in the living
room, so... Just curious what your application is and what merits such
hair-splitting analysis. Thanks in advance for humoring me. -Jer

I've always been comfortable with SoundJam's results. I generally do 192 to
conserve space, since I try to balance quality vs. space on the portable
device (actually, it was my Christmas gift to my wife and no I don't use the
gift I gave her. I simply burned many of the mp3s that were initially placed
on the iPod).
