For whatever it's worth: You don't even need to create a shortcut for the sample folder, the EXS will basically find them *anywhere* on your disks, unless you have a certain drive letter specified in the EXS's preferences which is not identical with the one carrying your samples. Shortcuts are only required once you move a) your global sampler instruments folder, b) your plugin settings folder, c) your Vstplugins folder, d) AKAI samples folder. But I agree, having a shortcut to a moved samples folder might be a good idea as no additional EXS search is required. Regards, Sascha
