So no need to open the Instrument Edit window. Yes, this is fine for EXS24, but there is no field in the ES1, ES2, ESM, ESP, ESE or EVOC that allows any patch selection by this means. At least the plugin window displays the name of the preset (which wasn't the case originally). I wish Emagic would implement a <preset name> field for all of the above. Thanks again Colin
