In LAMP 4.8.1 those are in the instrument menu. You can assign key-commands
to them, too.

You can open any PlugIn as a non floating (i.e. normal) window by holding
command/option while double-clicking the plug entry in the mixer channel.
If you then change EXS's Edit view to Controls view, any parameter
including instrument-selection can be controlled by +/- keys after first
being selected/'highlighted'. You must not have any key-command assigned to
the +/- keys for this to work.

True, for preset selection it doesn't work, but at least for instrument
selection it does. So no need to open the Instrument Edit window.
