But you CAN do this with only one use of the EXS24 with no MIDI channel (or
one if such a visualization is helpful to you). You control the outputs in
the EXS24 Edit screen. You can send a single zone or an entire group to a
different output. I can't spell this out in detail as it would take too
long. You'll have to play with it. Suffice it to say that you will have to
create some AUX channel strips in the environment in order to be able to
send out something other than the main. Given your limited experience with
Logic, I suggest you use one EXS24 for your kick and another for your snare,
each with their own insert effect or send to bus effects. Good luck. -Jer
