This has not been possible to do in Logic. There has however very recently been a thread on the Logic Users Group with a new workaround using the I/O plugin on audio instrument tracks which now allows this to be done. See the LUG archives for more details.

So here's the short answer: You can't _really_ do this in Logic, but there is a backdoor cheat that'll get you half way there.... It'll only work when the sequencer is playing or recording, but not when it is stopped.
