EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi

I work mainly with the EXS these days and am thinking of upgrading. 
I've been following the logic and exs lists, but one thing has not been 
discussed that I really need to know...

My G4 400 becomes very sluggish when pushed beyond half load. I would 
like to get a laptop but I'm concerned that this issue only goes away 
with dual processors. Can anyone comment on how hard you can push a 
dual proc machine compared to a single proc. From previous posts it is 
my understanding that you can virtually max out a dual proc and the 
user interface behaves the same as with no load. Is this accurate?
BTW I am running OS 10.2.4

I don't suppose there will ever be dual proc laptops due to power 
consumption??
