EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Until recently, I didn't think an OS9 dual Mac was much better than a
single-processor for Logic on OS9. Things have changed. I learned that
inserting the I/O Logic Helper plug, designating an output, then
deactivating the plugin (leaving it on the channel strip), throws all the
plugins on that channel strip to the other processor. Now I can maximize the
usage of both processors and I'm never hurting for DSP. Another use of the
I/O plugin is that it fixes the crackle problem for UAD-1 users who get
problems when putting something like the Pultec on the Master fader. The
fix? Put an I/O plugin on every channel with a UAD-1 VST effect, making sure
you designate an input/output on the deactivated plugin, just like in the
other situation. I'm thrilled right now. All my problems are currently
solved. Dual 800 user in OS9.2.2 (Logic 6)! Logic has never been better.
