I had some contact with the guy (forgot his name, sorry) who made the EXS cleanup-tool (of which I _also forgot the name -- that's what age does to you I guess :-) and he reverse engineered the file format himself. In doing so he discovered that there are differences between LAM and LAW versions, and even between various Logic versions, etc, etc. That's when I gave up...
