chase and reset and group selection by controller 2

Getting mad is good sometimes: it makes you think harder. So I found a combination that reduces the problem. With 'no reset' on the instrument, and CHASE ON CYCLE JUMP enabled, then, if you have entered all the controller data in the sequence(s) on the track, Logic will follow the last set controller setting. I still have to enter all of that control information in the sequences. I figure the only way around this is to record only one sequence per track with the default controller setting as the first item in the list in the sequence. This doesn't help me much since I tend to record lots of little sequences that i move, cut and paste, etc. The great thing I find about working with Logic is this modular possibility of creating little sequences or models and moving them around and transforming them. Unfortunately, with the way Logic deals with controller information and resets on a per sequence basis, this makes life more complicated for me. Sorry for the tone of the last post. Have a great day. john
