Hello all, hello Dan I'm rather new on the list although not new with Logic and EXS24 ; as I play mainly traditional music (on the pipes), I don't work so much with EXS24 and I have certainly still a lot to learn here, but I can answer on that point ;-) As far as I know, EXS24 don't recognize aliases of .exs files, BUT recognizes aliases of folders, even for the "Sampler Instruments" one (but I don't remember if all previous versions do it for this folder : I work now with Platinum 6.3.2 on Panther). I store the "Sampler Instruments" in my document folder and just let an alias of it in the Logic folder. This avoid to lost my own exs instruments when installing a new version or reinstalling in a new computer (what happenned, so I tryed that way). I do also the same for the "PlugIns settings" folder.
