When converting to the EXS24 format, CDxtract 3.5 can create a sample
subfolder for each instrument. http://www.cdxtract.com/

Is Emagic working on this?
This is _sooo_ annoying...

My 45Gb e drive is almost empty and my c drive is almost full.
I have tried moving everything inside the AKAI Samples folder and
sometimes the samples play right afterwards and sometimes they don't :(
Also you got a lot of VOLUME 001 folders and stuff that makes no sense as
long as you don't know what cd's they came from.

I have tried uninnstalling and innstalling it again just to see if there
was an option i had missed, but no...

File management must be better soon.

(Love you keycommands filemanagment though :)

I am able to have all my samples on my large audio hard drive and the alias
for it in the Logic folder. With the 4.7 release you can name folders so
that the akai cd-rom's you convert are named in the exs flip menu. You can
also convert whole cd's at a time. So you shouldn't have these problems.

But I didn't clearly understand your problem. I converted akai 2000
percussion sounds and each instrument h

The sample instruments are working fine, but all the actual samples is
being stored inside the "c:/program files/emagic/logic audio/akai samples"
folder.

I can't find a way to move them trouble free.
I have mooved them manually, but then the exs24 has to search for the
files everytime you want a sound and often it finds several files that has
the same name. It also takes way to much time.

BTW. I'm on PC - What is an "alias"?

I deleted the AKAI Samples folder within Logic Folder and created a
new one in my Sample Drive and Created an alias and named it AKAI
Samples and placed it in Logic Folder. But,
When I convert an Akai CD it ignores the alias and creates a new
folder named AKAI Samples!!!
What is the solution?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
