multiple exs controlled by protools via midi?

multiple exs controlled by protools via midi?

2004-01-16 by kotitek

hi,

does anybody know the solution for my problem?
I'm using Pro Tools with an Unitor 8 midi interface. To use the
exs 24 I connect another computer with an mt4 and Logic 4.7 to
the system. In Logic I'm using the exs 24 which receives the midi
signals from Pro Tools. So far it works perfect........---but. It's
not possible to assign and playback or record e.g. 24 midi
channels to 24 audioinstruments and record or playback them.
Logic records only to a selected track but Its not possible to
select e.g. 24 tracks .......as I said: I can't believe that such a
powerfull sequencer as logic does have such a limitation.

Is there anybody knowing a solution for my problem??

thanx
matt

Why do you use Logic 4.7 ? (Snipped by Admin)
6.3.3 has multi, has inputs, EXS24 has disk streaming.

Logic _does_ have this limitation -- at least your version does. If
you upgrade to a more recent version (5+), there's a workaround that
will let you control multiple virtual instruments simultaneously.
This workaround is described in FAQ 20.2
(http://logicfaq.omega-art.com/).
