EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Maybe this time someone will listen to my plight. Maybe three times is 
the charm. In L6 I was able to change instrument (Previous/Next) in a 
sequence by going to the exs preferences and entering a note number in 
the "number fields. I have tried to do the same in L7 and it doesn't 
work . Would someone please try this function to see if they can get it 
to work. Pitch bend will change an instrument so I know the function 
still works on some level. I offer up the clear and concise 
instructions in the manual as evidence that this particular function 
doesn't warrant much informational insight.

"Previous/Next Instrument Previous/Next Instrument and the number 
fields alongside determine which MIDI event  type (and data value) will 
be used for selection of the previous or next  Instrument:  Note, Poly 
Pressure, Control, Program, Channel Pressure, Pitch Bend.  In the 
number field (depending on the event type), either the Note Number or 
the  value of the first data byte can be entered. When Control is 
selected, the number field  determines the Controller number. "  Not 
for me...

If "poly pressure" is "note pressure" that also doesn't work and what 
is "Channel Pressure?" If nobody knows or cares about this possible bug 
just let me know your out there. I feel so alone in my confusion.

Jake -
I have no idea.  I have previous and next EXS patch assigned to key commands
and that works fine, but I've never had the occasion to change an instrument
on a track while a song is playing.  If you're talking for example about
going from one big VSL performance instrument to another, there is a
substantial delay while it loads, hence not a great idea mid song.  Is this
what you're talking about doing?

James or is it Jimmy?
I actually used to use it to teach the exs where new instrument files  
were. That was before exs manager. Now just for simple little  
instrument changes. Thanks for the response. I'm lonely no more. But  
still wondering if this is a bug...Jake
