Old Lady and EXS Manager

Old Lady and EXS Manager

2004-12-17 by Michael McKenzie

I received and installed both the OLD Lady and Emperor pianos from PMI.
It was suggested to use the downloadable
demo version of of EXS Manager to set up the samples which I did.
There's stuff about it I don't understand yet but I got
both pianos playing in ESX24. In the process I got a window message
saying not all the samples were able to load.
The instruments play and sound pretty good. Would they be missing some
part of the sound? Thanks
Michael

Do you have "virtual Memory" turned on in the EXS? Without it, you might be
trying to load more data than your Mac's memory can accommodate. With it,
the pianos are streamed, i.e. Just a small amount loaded into memory and the
remainder streamed directly from the disk.

Thanks James,

Yes I turned Virtual Memory on after running EXS Manger which could
explain the message.
I have 1.5 Gig of RAM.
