My Mac doesn't seem to recognize CDROMs' made for AKAI S1000. The
CDROM manufacturer clearly states that these CD's can be used in the
ESX, yet I can't the files into the Mac G4 Dual 1.25Ghz(Full SDRAM)

Any suggestions on how to get these files into my Mac so Logic can
read them? I have Logic Pro 6.4.3

Please Help,

TigerK

You must open the EXs sample editor. (In logic)
There is a menu- convert AKAI cd ... something

This is the only way to "read" the AKAI cds if you don't use a specific
converter app.

From what I remember (not sure whether this has been changed under OSX), you need to open the EXS' AKAI conversion menu BEFORE
inserting the CD.
Btw, the menu is also available from the "options" pulldown, no need to open the EXS editor.

Yep -- in the EXS, go to the OPTIONS drop-down, and pick AKAI CONVERT. It'll open a separate window and then pop in your CD... wait a few seconds and the partitions will pop up. Your best bet is to use the CONVERT ENTIRE CD option in the bottom-right portion of the window.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
