EXS misses fundamental features (Re: Poll results for exs-users)

2001-07-19 by dayo@alum.mit.edu

I came back online too late to participate but I'm amazed that no
one mentioned:
- ability to adjust volume (not velocity) from the arrange window
- ability to load samples from the arrange window
- given the inability to load samples from the arrange window,
being able to directly audition samples within the environment
without previously selecting the audio instrument in the arrange
window.

Perhaps these things are too basic to be included in a feature
wishlist - they are so fundamental that third party samplers like
Unity and Samplecell implement some or all of them.

Better yet, perhaps these issues have actually been addressed,
or we could do it all along and I'm just a bonehead!!

Still, 7.14 per cent is a sizeable Bozoid minority pressure group.

I'm the bozo who said he didn't understand the question. I didn't know if I
was being asked, "What percentage of my songs involved the use of the
EXS24?" versus "How big a role did the EXS24 play in each song (what
percentage of the song was made with the EXS24)?" This is a fine point, but
I couldn't tell by the phrasing which of these meanings was meant. -Jer

what percentage of exclusively non japanese speaking exs
users have made more sense of it by flipping to the japanese
language preferences?
