Free sound library

Hi gang, I haven't seen anyone else mention this before, but Robert Miles (of Children fame) has started up a free sound library on his web site @ www.robert-miles.com with free downloads. At the moment theres 99 samples up there in aiff format, both as zip and stuffit. They are a pain to download as you have to pull each individually and are accessible via a flash anim (grr!). Apparently there are more to come and according to CM mag, he pland to get his entire 20Gb library of oddities and recorded stuff on the site eventually. I hope its not *all* by flash download.... Accumulatively all the samples downloaded in stuffit format are about 25MB, and 35MB uncompressed. Theres quite a lot of interesting stuff there. It ranges from astmospheric to percussive hits to spot fx and synth noises. He's also started a remix compo for his album/label with top prize of 3000 USD - bit of a wierd entry / submission system though - You have to sumbit details, select a track you like the sound of to remix and they send you a CD in the post of the source samples... ! ~Pev _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
