disk streaming?

2001-11-26 by Darcy Phillips

Here's an article that says the exs already does disk streaming of samples!
Is this true? Can't find any mention of it on emagic's site...

Garth/Rubber Chicken,

Unfortunately, I don't recall what magazine it was. Perhaps they spoke out
of turn, or without the proper knowledge. Perhaps I'm distributing
misinformation... my apologies if it is so.

I'm posting this response to the group, since it may help resolve the
dispute. Thanks for your insite. -Jer

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
