Toronto, Canada - The submission process is closing soon for bands and artists from US, Canada and Europe who want to take part in the Molson Canadian Music Week Festival and will run until the submission deadline of December 30th, 2000. The festival, now entering it 11th year, spotlights new and developing bands in more than 25 different venues in Toronto, with up to five different bands each night in each venue from March 28 - April 1, 2001. Toronto's most popular clubs and music halls throw open their doors to industry insiders and the general public to create an electrifying musicfest of discovery. The talented unsigned bands are music to the ears of A&R reps on the lookout for next year's stars. Whether it's the next "big thing" or one of today's hottest concert hitmakers, you'll find what your lookin' for at the Festival. Long recognized as the most important event of its kind in Canada, the Festival, a major part of Canadian Music Week International, serves as a way for new artists to bring their music to the attention of domestic and international industry professionals - including agents, publishers, managers, record companies and talent bookers.
