Vibraphone samples

2002-02-09 by elikca

Hi All,

Just finished my OMF edit here. i feel bad that so many of you are
having trouble getting it to work. The samples are in SD ll format. I
have access to a Pro Tools system here (and fast IP connection), so let
me convert the samples to WAV format and upload it again. I'll post
back soon once it is done. Thanks all for your patience !!

Can anybody recommend any good Vibraphone samples??
All of the ones I found seem to be "cut up".

I don't own these, but the demos sound great:

If you're looking for something quick and simple and free, try my sample set
that I did of my Musser M55 vibraphone a few years ago. They are sampled
with the motor on, set at a slow speed; with medium hard mallets.

Garth has been kind enough to host them here:

I'll vouch for them. They're good.

I do own Cool Vibes, and it's very good. There aren't any motor-off
samples, but otherwise I have no criticisms.

How do you load them in to the EXS sampler? How do you access them
from within Logic 6?

How do you load them in to the EXS sampler (Cool Vibes)

Just place them inside "Sampler Instruments" and the EXS will convert them when you select them the first time, no problem.

Check out our new DS Soundware Chromatic Percussion. It contains over 12 mallet
choices each of Marimba, Vibes, Crotales, Bells, Chimes...etc.
