Drive Icon changed to "PC"

Drive Icon changed to "PC"

2002-02-19 by lubimi

Hi,

I'm using LAM with a G4 and I'm storing my AKAI samples for my
EXS24 on an external 80GB Firewire drive.

Recently, while converting AKAI to EXS the external drive icon
changed to PC. Now it seems that quite a few files on that drive
have PC icons as well.

Has anyone seen this behavior with EXS and are my files now
corrupt. Can I prevent this from happening again?

BTW, reboot corrected the drive icon but not the files. All else
with the drive seems to be ok.

Thanks for any help,

Icons usually change when File Type & Creator change. Also when the
desktop file is old and confused. Try rebuilding the desktop file of
the external drive.

I doubt that the files are corrupt....

Hope this helps

Or use File Buddy to see what's going on and eventually correct it

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
