EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Was using a G4 OS 9.22 and LAMP 5.0 but then copied my Logic 
folder with all my exs sample instruments and samples to my 
laptop iBook.  Now when I move the key over and launch Logic it 
finds my instruments but none of my samples...

They are in the same RELATIVE place they were on the desktop 
system but the laptop says that none of the samples can be 
found when I try to launch any instrument in exs.

Anyone heard of this?

Relative doesn't count unless the application program goes to unusual and 
rare extra lengths.

EXS is probably using fully qualified explicit paths.   You probably have 
to import the files again.

In the (win) EXS-files are the Samplefile-directories saved down to the
root. I don't know anything about Macs, but on PC it has to be the same hdd
(ie. C>:, D>:, E>:, F>:...), incl. directory-path. Then, it works.

I doubt it.

Did you really set your preferences to "All Volumes"?
While I know about certain problems when reorganizing EXS patches and
samples (longer search times etc.) I never heard about such a problem.

On Macs this isn't an issue. But I've learned something from this post
regarding the issue on PCs. Thanks for the post. -Jer
