EXS24 - when will it include a next and previous patch button?

EXS24 - when will it include a next and previous patch button?

2002-07-28 by technodork_2000

One of the more frustrating things with using EXS24 on a daily
basis is the lack of a next and previous patch buttons....

After purchasing Spectrasonics Stylus and some of the Big Fish
Audio/ Plug Sound VSTi's, they take advantage of these features,
and it is very rewarding to the user when auditioning sounds.

Once you have many, many gigs of samples and deeep menus
in EXS24, scrossling down and across through submenus for
each individual patch can be very taxing and inconvenient......

Anyone at Emagic listenging?

You can assign virtually any midi information to act as next/previous patch
remote controls.

Go to the ³edit² page, and then go to the ³edit² window of that page. Open
preferences at the bottom you will see ³previous instrument² and ³next
instrument².

What I do is make 2 buttons and cable them to the relevant instrument. One
sends a controller number that is assigned to next patch, the other has a
controller number assigned to previous patch.

And it works

In fact, it's true of all Emagic's products. Patch selection in the ES2 is
grueling, but the synth itself is amazing. -Jer
