i assigned a prg 1 message for "next instrument" in the exs prefs.
than "clean song" crated one sequence with a prg 1 and set a cycle.
manually selected the very first instrument in the flipupmenu of the exs and
started the song ...

worked SLOW but good.

Did you set up an instrument for the trigger loop track and cable it to
the physical input object ?
