Translator stereo

Translator stereo

2002-09-05 by Brian Gascoigne

Hi all

Using Translator to xfer Roland S-760 files to EXS, when using
combine stereo option, the sounds come out as if both sides panned to
centre, i.e.2 monos of combined files. When using Do not combine to
stereo, stereo separation fine, and indistinguishable from original.
Anyone else had this, or found a way round? I suppose it doesn't much
matter, but just curious. Regards Brian

Send Chicken Systems an example .rol file, or e-mail the name of a patch or
patches and name the CD(s) they are off of. I just tried a couple of Roland
dual-mono patches that could combine to stereo interleaved files, and they
sounded the same either way - single stereo samples files or two mono files
panned hard left and hard right.

This is either PC or Mac - make sure you are using the latest.

Sorry - my fault. This was a bug with build 9, I wasn't checking my
versions carefully enough. Just with Roland stuff. There'll be a new build
up today, with some interface improvements and other things. Thank you!

[exs] Translator or cdxtract for OSX, now please!!

2002-09-05 by djskyylite@electroradio.com

Woa-

Anyone check out making new sample inst. With 5.3? It sucks.... The load
multiple samples window doesn't work the way the os9 version does in respect
to the loading multiple samples window. You can only choose from samples in
the same folder by shift clicking. The second you double cliclIn os9 you can
navigate through all drives and add from anywhere.

Anyhow even in os9 I use cdxtract for making all my exs patches. It works
more efficiently and is easier to organize.

Where is xtract or translator for X. This needs to come out today. Even if
some of the fringe formats aren't working 100%, I bet akai to exs works
cool.

Let's see it!

I second that. I hope to be 100% OSX in 6 months. -Jer

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
