in theory - yes. in reality - no!

why? because midi is much more flexible than audio imo. it's easier to
control and edit, pitch bend etc etc. also, recycle can elongate the samples
"tail" to make a cut off sound feel not so cut off. very nice

Recycle is many times more versatile.    Strip silence can sometimes be used
as a means to make audio adjust tempo.

same thing as Recycle essentially?  Assuming we're still using Logic
Audio!   I bought the latest recycle but didn't see much point in it -
probably my obtuseness -

O.K. so i have a huge bunch of old sample CD's from the front of magazines
that I want to rip the sounds off. Many of these have a track with loads of
individual samples in it. Rather than go through with a Wav editor and cut
out each sound, is there a fast way with Logic/Exs, or is Recycle to tool
for the job ?
