Hi Hat samples

Hi Hat samples

2003-01-15 by Eli Krantzberg

Hi All,

I'm sure most of you have been following the (interesting) thread on the LUG regarding hi hat programming and samples. Anyway, I uploaded some samples I did a couple of years ago of my own hi hats and posted them up on my Geocities page.

I'm not claiming they're anything special, but they're good solid clean sounding EQ'd multisamples that you're all welcome to use if you want. There are three closed samples and four open samples, all with progressively harder stick attacks. They're just "lose" samples, not mapped out to EXS; and I converted them to .wav format so that hopefully the PC users won't have any trouble with them. You can find them at:

Contacting Chickensys re Hosting Exs instrument?

2003-01-15 by Murray McDowall

At the suggestion of Jer and Eli I took up Garth from Chickensys's
invitation to upload an bass guitar archive I built from samples of my own
Maton fretless to his site about two weeks ago.

I have tried a few times to contact Garth -- mails to the address he used
on this list bounced and mails to support@... have not been
answered.

If Chickensys cannot host the WinRAR archive -- perhaps there is some
trouble opening it on a Mac -- I would like to look at other options for
sharing it.

Regards,
Murray

Note to PC users. If you can't expand an SIT archive, download Stuffit
Expander at http://www.stuffit.com for PC format. -Jer

Thanks for the samples, Eli.

I'm still willing to host this instrument if Garth doesn't respond to you
promptly. -Jer

Thanks Jer,

I certainly don't wish to invite criticism of Garth who was kind enough to
offer to host the file. It has been holiday season and he may be busy with
preparations for NAMM or something. I just wished to know where I stand and I
was hoping he might see my message.

Regards,
Murray

You're welcome.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
