Well... if you are going to make a statement like this, you should be more
specific. What was the problem? You need to back up a statement like that.

My apologies for being so blunt. This past fall, I was having trouble with
a particular file conversion. Similar to someone elses post, I sent them
the actual files. I called and email and got not reponses. After
complaining an email to Garth, I got a response that said to download the
latest software version-which I already had. That wasn't going to solve my
problem. I have tried the MN telephone number and get no repsonses.
If you or anyone else has a better way of contacting their customer
service feel free to let me know.
My statement that I posted was that I have called, emailed, on several
occasions and gotten one respose.

Hmmm. Unusual in my experience with them. We'll have to wait for Garth to
respond to this. I know they get pretty frantic around NAMM. -Jer

Thanks for hearing me out. I'm not sayin Garth is bad OR the product is
bad. I've just had, at least to me, an unually difficult time to get a hold
of him. But yes everyone is busy with NAMM so I'll have to wait. But one
of my new years resolutions is to get ahold of these guys.

Sincerely,

Jonathan

Geez, I have to admit... it shouldn't take a New Year's resolution to reach
them. They are usually very responsive. I'm sure he'll get on the ball when
he gets back to the norm. Sorry to hear of your troubles. I'm not protecting
the guy... just surprised is all. -Jer

2003-01-18 by lesestunde <lesestunde@hotmail.com>

dear group,
i just upgraded to logic 5.5 and exs 24 mk II - but now my system
is getting timing-problems - syncronising audio and exs - the exs
is getting out of timing and is playing the sounds to late - the
same problems appear with any audio instrument i am tryiing to
play - one exs instrument is fine - opening another sometimes
ok sometimes not - opening a third instrument and everything is
getting out of regular timing - any tips for me ?
system G4 733 - 1,5 GB Ram - Logic 5.5 - 2 x Motu 2408 - Midi
AMT 8 - regards pete

Hi Pete,

Although I won't be of any real help I felt a reply was in place
since I work the EXACT same system as you do, a 733/1,5 Gig,
Logic 5,5 and the AMT. All that is different is my audiocard.
I don't have any timing problems here.
-how much RAM is allocated to Logic? I use 1 gig Ram for Logic.
-Is the Virtual Memory of the EXS24 active? (Option->Virtual
memory)
-What is the buffersize of your audiodriver?

O.

Have you activated the "unified MIDI engine" ? If not, do it..

You have also an option for the overall MIDI-delay;-)

Tweak, tweak, tweak till you've gone crazy or cannot hear anymore.
