Wishlist Entry #32776

2003-02-22 by Ned Bouhalassa

Oh please Emagic, give us a couple of things to make our EXS programming
life more fun:

- more loop directions than plain old forward

- more than just an ADSR for amplitude

- rubber-band selection of samples in the editor

- better/more complete GIGA translation

And...

Ned

And an option to manipulate them in realtime via the modulation router.
Plus a separate release loop (or at least an option to release the sample
just like what is happening in the file after the loop point).

Oh yes. If there's one thing I just love about FM7 and Kontakt it's the
syncing/looping envelopes!

Yes. And an option to tweak the most important parameters straight on the
zones (key and velocity range that is). Wouldn't even be required to
represent the velo zones graphically - personally I don't find the way
HALion or Kontakt display their zones too pleasing, the EXS allways looked
slicker to me.

My most important wish however would be having a slightly different method
of organizing files. I really don't like the fact that you have to re-save
or "save as" each instrument once you altered it. Makes working with
songbased patches a true pain. All instruments should be saved with the song
and optionally one shouldn't need to create a new patch in the first place
as well. Just as any other softsampler does it: Do your patch, save your
song, in case you want to re-use patches, save them as an extra file.

That's one thing that's really nice on Mach Five....you have
alternate looping with real-time crossfading that really WORKS!

Very, very useful.....

Yeah, I'm rather intrigued with the description of Mach Five. -Jer

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
