I've got a mixed mode Akai CD Rom (part audio, part Akai format samples) that I'm trying to convert for use in EXS24. However, the mac can only "see" the audio part of the CD. Does anyone know of a Mac tool that will allow me to view the Akai files and extract them onto my hard drive, so I can convert them? Thanks in advance, Paul -- Paul Zimmer (ZAP! - Zimmer Audio Production) www.zimmeraudio.com

hi, in os9 you should use Options>AKAI Import from within EXS, in osx there is no akai-support at this time. here you'll find a converter-prog for win, mac and macosx: http://www.cdxtract.com/home.php . zo long, udo Am Dienstag, 18.03.03 um 12:57 Uhr schrieb Paul Zimmer: > I've got a mixed mode Akai CD Rom (part audio, part Akai format > samples) > that I'm trying to convert for use in EXS24. Hi Guys, If your using OS9 you'll need to replace the Apple CD/DVD driver for the one out of OS8.6 and place the OS9 driver along with your 'Foreign File access' in a folder on your hard drive. Re-boot and it will work fine, you can also use an external cd-drive. As for OSX you'll just have to scream at Emapple to sort the OS out..=o( I have this problem all the time with mixed mode Cd's and our customers having problems. If you can't get the driver, email me and I'll send it to you.. So get the 1.3.5 driver (at www.chickensys.com/translator/download), install that temporarily, and you'll see it come up in EXS. Garth Hjelte Sampler User
