ok. Got a tip to replace a voltage regulator. Its supposed to pass 5v but was closer to 7. Found a replacement and soldered it in. (The soldering they used was petrified. Took a whole bunch of heat to get it out and clear the holes..) Anyway, that, for now, seems to have at least got it running again. I will test it tonight and see how long it works.

On a second note-
Got the new eproms in and switched out. so now Im on version 3 "Artist". I still have the crystal and associated caps to swap out for the 20 Mghz upgrade. Gonna leave the case open tonight and see how long it stays on. If it stays on for a while I will pull the mboard out and swap the new components in. otherwise, back to the drawing board...
