ALL, First off it was not my intention to pull any fast ones on the seller or dupe him, I just thought if you folks on the forum could possibly diagnose the problem since most of you guys are long time users then in my case if it was a $3.00 dollar battery I would take it on the chin and replace it. If it looked like a bad processor and/or eproms then it was definitely going back to the seller for a refund. That's all I had in mind. As I said in the original post the packing job was adequate at best with the unit in a box with those styrofoam peanuts and that's it. **HERE's the latest: I bought a new battery and replaced it and made sure the eproms were well seated and so far so good. Factory reset worked!!! Turned off and back on!!! A So La Mio!!! I haven't dove head first into Graham's midi wizard as of yet (but I will) so it looks like all is well for now. So I wanted to thank everyone that helped out with all the advice and things to try. (so damn fast, WOW!!!) I really, really appreciate it. If this thing holds then the next thing will be to load the midi program and then on to the fun stuff of bugging the shit out of all of you guys for some of those killer patches which I know you all have sitting on for years!!! Thanks again, (Reformed 2101 user once again) Kevin Schertell --- In gsp-2101@yahoogroups.com, "Duane Urban" <starwaycorp@c...> wrote: > Yeah right - you must have a magical 2101 then because mine went crazy when the battery died and was totally unusable.
