I would probably just point some links at the sourceforge site. Not that I want the yahoo group to die but Yahoo could do anything over the next year or so.

Are you going to add the new instructions to http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/korgpolyex/files/4%29%20Modifications/H

The only difference is one capacitor location. Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING, is the same from board 1.5 to 1.5b. Most people have not had issues with

John, I may have been slow to ship out the kits but other than that, how has this been a really shit deal ? The capacitor goes up in the far upper right hand
2012-07-10 by bimmerfan222
... There is also seemingly nowhere to even get some basic patches for testing.

Obviously Mike would have responded already if he had access to email. I hope he s off somewhere having a well-deserved vacation. I don t know how your kit got

if they re .001uf capacitors, they re likely for power supply decoupling. Therefore, find a ground, find the voltage supply and solder one leg of the capacitor

i m talking about the boards by the way. the hawk kit has all the chips/eprom/etc installed. it is a v1.5b

Yo, If anyone wants a completed Hawk 800 and Atomohawk retrofit kit I would be happy to sell the for a flat $100. I am taking a loss on this and will ship

Here s the problem: I m on the current 1.5b boards, which you most likely do not have. They feature a seemingly different orientation for the .001uF

TO MICHAEL: this has been a really shit deal for me. your instructions are terrible. and you re also a turd. where does the 4th capacitor go on the boards

... thanks Mike! Can t wait to get it going in soon.

Cool. What do I have to do? When did you release 1.95 of the boot code? I didn t find a 1.95 chip last night, but it s possible you may already have sent me
2012-07-03 by Michael Hawkins
Yes, at the time that you had problems, I was also in the middle of a hideous series of bugs in the HAWK code. Those bugs went out in boot code 1.93 and 1.94.

I just needed to see which PCB version you have and if the ROM s are all in sockets, which they are. This means you can upgrade the 1.94 to 1.95 boot code
