Wow, this sounds... dangerous. :-)
You're free to talk about it, but apparently I have been misunderstood last time
I gave my opinion: we've been looking into all possible solutions several times
and everything that a newgroup can do, can be done by a good email client as
well (except for one thing: you have to download all emails while in a newsgroup
that's not necessary). The email system offers many advantages over newsgroups
though!!!

What I meant is this: it's ok to give your opinion about it, but it's useless to
have huge threads about it because it's not going to change anyway. If
newsgroups got better functionality to protect the subscribers from spamming
etc, then we could consider it, but right now email clients still offer more
functionality.

So please no big threads about it... but I'm always interested in opinions so
feel free to email me privately about it (for example, when new technologies
become available, I'd love to be informed about them so we can keep an eye on
all possible alternatives)
