what a pain in the butt! That is simply unacceptable behavior on Mac Mall's
part.

I would call them everyday, 3 times a day. Get the manager's extension so
you're bugging the highest level person and you're consistent. That's the
only way you'll get it taken care of quickly, to be a constant thorn in
their side. Don't take no for an answer. Call them today and tell them what
Apple said, etc... just keep redirecting the problem to them.

disgraceful...

OK sorry if I made post seem like a rant. I got the problem resolved. After
many run arrounds and high volume yelling I got Macmall to accept the
return. Ironically after talking to several unsympathetic people and being
transfered to sales reps when asking for a manager, I got to a rep (not a
manager) who was very cool about the situation, explained it to a manager
and the situation was not a problem (actually I only explained a small
fraction of the entire incident which was that I wanted to cancel the order
over a dispute in charges and wasnt allowed, no other details). So maybe I
was just unlucky in getting several badly trained reps from the company
mixed in with some clerical errors. I do beleive the RAM overcharge was an
honest mistake, always have. But the fact that I was given no sympathy by
the sales man and actually told 'too bad' was just beyond beief. I got the
latests rep's extention and if I do further business I will be sure to deal
with him and him only.

This is my experience, I don't want it to imply that Macmall is bad and
stay away, just take it as someones testamonial and make your own
judgement. Now I know to ask and be specific about certian things when
buying, as well as getting peoples names. In the end I was in no was ripped
off by Macmall and they made right even if they handled the situation
inappropriately until the end.
