OCD commander

OCD commander

2005-02-22 by kenbnny

Hello Guys,

I'm using OCD commander software of Macraigor Systems for connecting
to the LPC device using "WIGGLER" Interface.

Does anybody know why always I get this message reported.
"Error Response from INITIALIZE: 0x03 initialize_target : cable
disconnected (10 : 03)"

Are you using a Macraigor Wiggler or a home built one ?
Recently Macraigor added code to their later ocd commander on ocdremote
software to sense a looped back pin to see if a 'real' wiggler or not.

Suggestions:
* Try an older version of ocd commander (I don't have, but sure someone
here will. I only have an older version of ocdremote).
* Look back through this list history to see which pins need to be
looped back on a home grown wiggler to make it look like a macraigor.
* Check your parallel port is in EPP mode (CMOS setup).

Bruce,

I'm using home made wiggler interface as per Schematic given in
JTAG.ZIP in group files.

Where can I get information regarding which loopback pins connection.
Also looking for older version of 2.06version OCD commander software.

Thanks,

Ken

As far as I know, you should connect pin 8 and 15 on the DB25.

Guys,

A little joy with pin 8 and pin 15 connected on DB25 with latest OCD
software at speed 8, I'm able to connect to target, but I'm not able
to load file. Any ideas how can I fix this up.

Error I get on window.

D:\Keil\ARM\Examples\Blinky\Obj\Blinky.elf: downloaded 272 bytes in 0
minutes,
27.28 seconds

Error during download

PC set to starting address 0x00000000

Regards,
Raj

Could be lots of things. Have a look at my web site - I've got a simple
LPC210x system there with the Wiggler connections that work for me. You need
EPP mode for the printer port.

Do you have RAM at the address you are trying to download ? AFAIK the
OCD JTAG download, only downloads to RAM. If you want to program FLASH
via JTAG, you need to download a small app that runs in RAM, and uses the normal
built-in routines to write to FLASH.
