MOTM

That was me posting on sonicstate.

I work for a house record label, and the accumulated instruments here 
are pretty extensive.  I brought a lot of my stuff in, which was a 
rack-mounted OB8, the Pulse / Drehbank combo, a Nord modular, 
MKS80/MPG80, and of course the MOTM, which right now stands at about 
15 modules.

of me there, somewhere!  No equipment on the site, though.  It's a 
closed (meaning no outside clients) facility, so we don't even 
mention that we have a studio.  Even though we make house, this is a 
collective of synth-enthusiasts who have been collecting for a 
while.  francois K, who owns the label, has mixed Erasure, JM Jarre, 
Kraftwerk, and Depeche Mode amoung others.

We have a release schedule, usually about four 12" records a months, 
of which about three or four remixes and maybe one or two original 
sides are done here.  Yes, the MOTM wins hands down.

It's big, it's clean (inside and out) and it RECALLS!  we can repatch 
it and come close to how it was before it got normalled!  AWESOME!  
Also, recording 24-bit Protools the noisefloor is a problem with the 
older machines.  And the MOTM has a certain 'feel' which experienced 
engineers and dance-music enthusiasts just seem to gravitate towards.

Excellent, excellent synth.  Honestly, I liked bringing it in just to 
show everyone how much better it was than that old, maintenance-heavy 
vintage stuff.  Now with the frequency shifter coming out, I can put 
it next to the Bode and really stir things up!
