MC-1000 and WaveBlaster ?

MC-1000 and WaveBlaster ?

2005-08-19 by oberheim_ruben

Hi out there !
Does anyone have any knowledge, experience or information about what
the MC-1000 master keyboard possibility to install an optional
WaveBlaster Soundcard in the MC-1000 really means ?
The WaveBlaster is an old soundcard and could be very hard to find,
or
is it possible to install something similar or a "compatible" sound
card instead ?
Can anyone tell me how all this works on th MC-1000 ?
Have searched the net, but no answers found. Have even sent questions
to Viscount, but noone seem to take time to answer...

If anyone is interested to know what the solution was, then read this !

It's possible to install any soundcard into the Oberheim MC-1000 with
a compatible WaveBlaster connector. I managed to get hold on a Yamaha
DB50XG soundcard, and it's fully editable from the MC-1000. great
sounds even from a soundcard that is so "old" ! I can recommend this
to anyone that have a MC-1000 from Oberheim...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
