how old is the building you re in? maybe you have improperly grounded / dirty power.. i ve had issues with that hauling my xl-7 over to friends to jam before..

Unplug the MP-7 from everything except power. See if you still have hum in the headphones. If you don t, try connecting things one by one until the problem

I have not used e-mu samplers, but it sounds the same. Mix Output [Global Parameter] lets you choose an output routing assignment on a channel by channel

Yup. The e-mu is quite flexible. The tip is the send, the ring is the return. Mono plugs only have the tip and the sleeve, so you will only get the outgoing
