'Searching for OS' error

when i boot holding down the cursor buttons, the LCD says Searching for OS... but never goes any further. is there something wrong with my unit?

I believe the Factory Presets are included on the CD-Rom that came with your XL-7. You ll need to use a software sequencer (or maybe something like MIDI Ox?)
