I must confess, I haven't created CZ sounds in decades, but it seems clear from the sound sheet form in The Easy CZ Book, the "Wave" section next to the DCO settings refers to the two components of the wave form ("combination") for each DCO.
I used to send "bogus" patch data to the CZ (randomly tweaked sysex data) to see what patches I could create that were not available from the front panel; so its nice to see the internal parameters laid out like that.
